This course is designed to educate the participants on the importance of their muscular system and give them the knowledge and tools to help them achieve this goal. Participants will learn the names and locations of muscles located throughout their body and will also learn a variety of ways to allow them to take care of these muscles.
A majority of the course is devoted to the release of muscular tension by demonstrating how to position oneself on the cork blocks in order to allow one’s body weight and gravity to effortlessly release tension and knots (trigger points) in the muscles. These self-massage techniques will simultaneously increase local circulation, facilitate lymphatic drainage and enhance muscle tone.
Instructors: Daniel Kosta LMT, Lisa Barley RYT, IKYT 200hr.
Instructor Daniel Kosta is a licensed and board-certified massage therapist who has been practicing for over 25 years. He has previous experience as an Ashtanga yoga instructor.
